Two held for cocaine

Queenstown, Eastern Cape -

Two people have been arrested for possession of cocaine in Queenstown, Eastern Cape police said on Thursday.

A 35-year-old Nigerian man and 30-year-old woman were arrested in their Madeira Park home in Queenstown around 6.30pm on Wednesday, said Lieutenant Pumzile Makaulat.

She said police acting on a tip-off found the cocaine, with a street value of about R16 750, in the couple's home.

They were expected to appear in the Queenstown Magistrate's Court on Thursday. - Sapa
