Two held for dagga

A man and a woman were arrested for dealing in dagga in the Ezitendeni area near Mpumalanga township, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Wednesday.

Colonel Jay Naicker said police acted on a tip-off when they identified a house on Tuesday that was being used for dealing drugs.

A 32-year-old man was arrested and police seized 208 grams of dagga.

Further police investigation led to the arrest of a 54-year-old woman. Police confiscated 10 bags of dagga and 736 dagga cigarettes from her.

The dagga had an estimated street value of R230.

The two were charged for dealing in dagga and would appear in the Mpumalanga Magistrate's Court on Wednesday afternoon. – Sapa
