Two held for dagga, bootleg smokes

Pretoria - Two men were arrested in Hazelwood, Pretoria on Thursday for allegedly dealing in dagga and contraband cigarettes, Gauteng police said.

The men, aged 47 and 53, from Soshanguve, were arrested on Pinaster Street at 12.30pm, Captain Colette Weilbach said.

Police confiscated boxes of contraband cigarettes and 126.65 grams of dagga.

Thirty-nine dagga plants were discovered near where the men operated.

The two would appear in the Hatfield Community Court on Friday.
