Limpopo -

The Limpopo High Court will hear arguments about the Venda monarchy on Wednesday, the SABC reported.

According to the public broadcaster, the Nhlapo Commission had ruled that the king of the vhaVenda should come from the Mphephu clan.

The Tshivashe royal family has disputed this decision, and has said three kings from three different clans should be appointed.

It proposed that they come from the Mphephu, Mphaphuli and Tshivashe clans.

King Toni Mphephu Ramabulana is the current king of the Venda.

His family said it would not comment until a ruling was made.

The verdict is expected to be delivered on Thursday. - Sapa
