Johannesburg -
A street vendor accused of killing a metro policeman appeared in the Benoni Magistrate's Court on Friday, Ekurhuleni metro police said.
The case was postponed until Wednesday, said Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago. The man remained in custody.
The 48-year-old Ekurhuleni metro policeman was helping remove a food caravan being operated in an unauthorised area in Daveyton on Sunday, Kgasago said at the time.
The vendor allegedly punched the officer, who fell, hit his head, and died. - Sapa
