The assault of a female pupil by a male teacher allegedly at a high school in Mpumalanga has been captured on camera.
According to reports, the assault happened in a grade 9 class at Hoërskool Patriot in eMalahleni last week.
The video, reportedly recorded by a fellow pupil on a cellphone and broadcast on eNews Channel Africa, shows the teacher pulling the girl's hair, before throwing her to the ground.
He then begins to kick and hit her. The pupil starts to fight back, before other pupils try to separate the two. The teacher appears to grab the girl's hair as they wrestle on the ground.

According to eNCA, the Mpumalanga Education Department has since suspended the teacher.
Officials and the school’s governing body are reportedly investigating the incident. - IOL
