A woman appeared in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Monday for allegedly killing her husband, said Limpopo police.

The matter was postponed to June 19 for a bail application, said Constable Moses Molepo.

Dorcus Maake, 30, allegedly shot James Maake, 37, three times with an unlicensed firearm during an argument on February 18 in Thoka village, near Polokwane, after accusing him of cheating.

Maake was declared dead on arrival at hospital, said Molepo.

His wife was arrested shortly after the shooting. - Sapa
