Woman allegedly killed brother over a memory card

Johannesburg – Dutywa Police on Tuesday said they have arrested a 21-year-old woman in King William's Town, Eastern Cape, after she allegedly fatally stabbed her elder brother.

"It is alleged that the two quarrelled over the memory card of a cellphone on Sunday at about 16:00 at Mahliwane Location, Gwadana Village, Dutywa," said Captain Jackson Manatha.

"The suspect is alleged to have drawn her knife and stabbed her brother on his upper body."

The suspect was arrested and will appear before the Dutywa Magistrate Court on Tuesday, where she will face a murder charge.

"The deceased was identified as Sonwabile Zide aged 28," said Manatha.
