The water in the Mpumalanga town of Carolina still presents a health risk, a High Court Judge said in Pretoria.

A woman appeared in the Butterworth Magistrate's Court on Thursday for throwing boiling water at her boyfriend, Eastern Cape police said.

Captain Jackson Manatha said the matter was postponed to July 25 and the 38-year-old woman was released on a warning.

“It is believed the man went to the woman's house to see his children, but she refused.”

Manatha said the woman threw a pot filled with boiling water at the man's face. – Sapa
