A woman has been arrested in Montague Gardens for dealing in Tik with a street value of over R7 million, Cape Town police said on Tuesday.
“Information was received about a suspicious parcel... at Time Freight in Montague Gardens,” Colonel Tembinkosi Kinana said in a statement.
When police went to the site on Monday, they found a parcel containing 42 kilograms of methamphetamine - commonly known in South Africa as Tik - with a street value of R7 561 000.
“As the suspect, a 32-year-old woman, went to collect the shipment, she was arrested.”
The woman will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court on Wednesday on charges relating to dealing in drugs. - Sapa
