A 40-year-old woman was arrested after police found 648 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R16 200 at a house in Lobelia Street in Lentegeur, Mitchells Plain.
Police spokesperson Captain Frederick van Wyk said Lentegeur SAPS Crime Prevention Unit members had received information at about 5pm on Tuesday about the presence of narcotics in the house.
“They followed up on the information and found 648 mandrax with an estimated street value of R16 200 in an oven in the house.
“The 40-year-old female suspect was arrested and will appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrate’s Court on Friday on charges related to the possession of narcotics,” said Van Wyk.
