Pietermaritzburg - A Pietermaritzburg woman was found dead in her house with both her hands and feet tied up, police said.
Captain Thulani Zwane said the cause of death and the motive for the killing in Pietermaritzburg's Orient Heights area were not immediately known.
A post mortem would be carried out to determine the cause of death.
A case of murder was opened at the Mountain Rise police station.
