A woman was raped and strangled in her house in Seweding village, near Mmabatho, on Thursday, North West police said.

Brigadier Thulane Ngubane said the 34-year-old woman's body was discovered by her six-year-old daughter in the morning.

“Preliminary investigations revealed the woman was raped before she was strangled to death.”

Ngubane said it appeared her attacker had gained entry through the bedroom window. No arrests had been made. - Sapa
