File picture: Two men were arrested when dagga worth R100 000 was found in Eldorado Park, Johannesburg.
A woman from Delft has been caught in possession of 19 bags of dagga with an estimated street value of R260 000, Western Cape police said on Tuesday.
The dagga was found in a trailer being pulled by the 24-year-old woman's Mercedes-Benz bus on the N1 on Monday morning, said Captain Bernadine Steyn.
“Members attached to the Flying Squad in Beaufort West stopped the woman during a patrol between Beaufort-West and Aberdeen and recovered the bags during a search,” she said.
The woman appeared in the Beaufort-West Magistrate's Court later on Monday. She remains in custody. Investigations are continuing. – Sapa
