Orange Farm, Gauteng - A woman has been arrested for possession of dagga in Orange Farm, Gauteng police said on Tuesday.

Captain Kabelo Marumo said 10 bags of dagga with an estimated street value of R30,000 were found locked in a room on Monday.

He said her husband lodged a complaint of family violence against her, and when the police went to investigate the husband told them he suspected she was involved in drug dealing because of the movement of unknown people who regularly visit the house.

“Further investigation led the police to a locked hiding room, where 10 bags of dagga with an estimated street value of R30 000 (were) recovered,” Marumo said.

The woman was expected to appear in the Vereeniging Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, on charges of possession and dealing in dagga. - Sapa
