A woman was arrested at Cape Town International Airport on Monday morning for possession of cocaine, Western Cape police said.

Lt-Col Andre Traut said the woman, 31, disembarked from a South American flight around 11.45am and was taken aside to have her luggage searched.

He said 1.3kg of cocaine, with an estimated street value of R390 000, was found in the handles of her suitcase. - Sapa
