Durban - A woman has appeared in court for allegedly ordering a hit on her husband.
Kwazulu-Natal police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbhele said Thokozile Mhlongo appeared in the Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court on a charge of murder on Monday.
The 46-year old woman allegedly hired a middleman, 28-year-old Zamani Gasa, who has also been charged with murder.
Wiseman Mhlongo, 51, was shot dead on October 16 at his Newlands Heights house in KwaMushu. His body had multiple gunshot wounds.
Mhlongo’s wife and the so-called middleman were arrested on Friday.
The hitman remains at large.
