Johannesburg - A woman was shot dead, allegedly by her boyfriend, in Soweto on Friday morning, Gauteng police said.
The man phoned his 20-year-old girlfriend and asked her to come to his house in the early hours of the morning.
On her arrival at his house they went to an open veld in Zondi, spokesman Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said.
“They had a quarrel and the boyfriend (allegedly) took out a gun and shot her in the head,” said Makhubela.
He was on the run and police were searching for him. - Sapa
