Free State - A woman was found stabbed to death in her home in Riebeeckstad, Welkom, Free State police said on Friday.
The 38-year-old drove her husband to work and her children to school on Thursday morning, but failed to fetch the children after school, Constable Kethabile Mofokeng said.
The teachers tried to phone her, but she did not answer. Her husband was also unable to contact her and sent their security company to their house.
“On arrival at the said house the security officer found the victim lying in a pool of blood with several stab wounds to the chest, neck and at the back of her head.”
She was declared dead on the scene.
A man was arrested in connection with the murder on Thursday night and would appear in court soon. - Sapa
