Tony Yengeni was pulled over by Cape Town traffic police on Monday after he was caught driving his Maserati without a front number plate, a report has said.
The Sowetan reported that the former ANC chief whip and convicted fraudster also had an expired licence disc.
According to the report, Yengeni had the front number plate in the car and showed it to the officers. He also apparently had an updated licence disc but this had not been put on display on the car window.
He was given two fines adding up to R800.
Yengeni could not be reached for comment on Monday, the report said. - IOL
