Police who raided a house were stunned to find an alligator in the bath.
It is believed to have been bought from a reptile dealer before being taken to the three-bedroomed house in Runcorn, Cheshire.
Officers searched the house after uncovering a cannabis factory at a nearby property. They also searched a nearby shop.
The cannabis factory contained around 60 plants, equipment for heating and lighting the plants, tanks of snakes and a number of dead venomous snakes.
Police also found a king cobra, three monocled cobras and a rattlesnake during searches of the shop in neighbouring Warrington.
Inspector Dave Gordon, of Cheshire Police, said: “Since some of the animals seized are extremely dangerous, indeed potentially lethal, they have been taken to a safe location where they will remain for the time being in the care of reptile specialists.” - Daily Mail
