Thailand claimed to have pipped Australia on Thursday in providing the world's largest and longest mass, synchronised massage.

About 641 Thai masseuses massaged 641 recipients for 12 minutes without stopping at Bangkok Mueang Thong Thani Convention Centre, breaking a previous record set in 2010 by 236 masseuses in Australia.

“We have set a Guinness World Record,” Public Health Ministry spokeswoman Papawadee Siripoh said.

“We wanted 800 masseuses but only 641 showed up, but that was enough to make the record,” she said. - Sapa-dpa
