Cape Town - Uber is a world-famous service that claims to be reliable and safe.
However, imagine getting in a car with an unknown and "intoxicated" woman in the front seat. Sounds dodgy, right?
Now imagine the trip taking an even more uncomfortable turn when the woman starts caressing the driver and then lowers her head onto his lap... and not because she is tired.
A US man had this awkward and horrific experience when his driver allegedly received oral sex from a woman.
Appalled, Manuel took out his phone and started recording the incident via Snapchat.
It is believed that he waited four days for Uber to reply to a complaint that he lodged.
Manuel then posted the video to Facebook because he felt that Uber was not taking any action with his initial complaint.
"As I approached my uber, I noticed there was a passenger in the front seat. I double checked to make sure I didn't select UberPool, and then approached the car. I assumed it may have been a family member of some sort. As we pulled off the female in the front (who was clearly on drugs) attempted to open the door and could not even sit straight as the vehicle was in motion," he said in the Facebook post.
As a form of "apology", Aner Manuel received an $8 (about R104) credit and was promised by Uber that this incident will be investigated.
The driver has been suspended.
