Cape Town - Controversial artist Ayanda Mabulu has painted yet another shocking portrait of President Jacob Zuma.

Mabulu previously made headlines for his explicit paintings in which the president as well as members of the Gupta family were portrayed, however his latest work has proven to be the most provocative to date.

In his most recent painting‚ Zuma is depicted in a gratuitous sexual position with late former president Nelson Mandela.

Because of the graphic nature of the artwork, IOL has made the decision not to show the painting at this time.

The Nelson Mandela Foundation has issued a statement in response to the controversial painting in which it says; "The Nelson Mandela Foundation notes the public outrage it has caused, and appreciates that the public is offended by it.

"The Foundation would like to express that it respects Mr Mabulu's right to the freedom of expression. We however find this painting distasteful."

The painting has drawn sharp reaction from the public, with some social media users saying Mabulu has crossed a line by showing Madiba in such a manner.
