Johannesburg - A newborn baby was found dead on Monday morning in a rubbish bin outside a complex in Fourways, paramedics said.
The dumped baby boy was found on Honeyguide Road in Douglasdale allegedly by a man who had been rummaging through the bins.
ER24's Russel Meiring said paramedics were called to the scene at around 10am by the complex security members.
"Upon arrival, paramedics found that the baby had been wrapped in a cloth and plastic bag. It was evident to paramedics that the baby had been dead for some time."
Meiring added that nothing could be done for the baby and he was declared dead.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
