Durban - Acting police commissioner Khomotso Phahlane is seeking to interdict private forensic investigator Paul O’Sullivan from being involved in Independent Police Investigative Directorate investigations (Ipid) against him.

Phahlane is being investigated for allegedly defeating the ends of justice and corruption related to the building of his house and the ownership of cars.

Phahlane said while he welcomes the lawful Ipid investigation, he did not want the case subverted and manipulated by a private individual for his own personal gain and profit.

He accused O’Sullivan of inveigling his way into what should be an independent investigation.
