Durban - The media were warned on Saturday by the Congress of South African Trade Unions against attempting to sew divisions within the African National Congress' leadership.

Cosatu president Sdumo Dlamini said that the leadership was “alive to this reality”.

Dlamini was speaking at Kings Park stadium in Durban for the ruling party's 101st anniversary celebrations.

Congratulating the party and saying that the federation was solidly behind the ANC's newly elected leadership, he also warned that the federation would engage with ANC in the boardrooms as well as on the streets.

“We call for all workers of this country, to make sure as we engage with the ANC we shall do so in ensuring that the ANC delivers.”

He also repeated the federation's call for labour brokers to be banned. - Sapa
