The affordable education loan option
Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga should “do the noble thing” and resign, the ANCYL said on Sunday.
It also expected her to apologise to the nation for failing the young people of Limpopo, it said in a statement.
The African National Congress Youth League said it was extremely perturbed by the ongoing Limpopo textbook crisis.
“The African National Congress has committed itself to prioritising education,” it said in a statement.
“Never, therefore, must tenders, service provider issues or bureaucratic bungles deny young people, our future, an opportunity to education.”
This made a mockery of South Africa's hard won freedom.
It hoped the person who took over Motshekga's responsibilities would be “an individual who is decisive and truly committed to education”, it said. - Sapa
