The affordable education loan option
Johannesburg - Matric pupils must use the school holidays to prepare for their final examinations, the ANCYL said on Sunday.
“It should be time for less fun and more schoolwork, for success is only realisable through hard work,” said African National Congress Youth League spokesman Bandile Masuku.
He said the ANCYL had asked its branches throughout the country to develop programmes that would help matriculants pass their exams.
“We once more remind our fellow young South Africans that economic freedom is possible and achievable, but only when we use education as our individual and societal empowerment tool.”
In his heritage day message, Masuku said the ANCYL was proud of the country's rich heritage and the unity its people continued to display regardless of the diversity of their beliefs, cultures and traditions.
“Our history is one of stories of courage and victory of goodwill over hatred,” he said.
“Our heritage is a mineral resource rich country with a fauna and flora that is not matched by any other.”
