Pupils in KZN should be granted access to the good schooling the constitution sought to guarantee them, says department head.
Limpopo - Education authorities have defended the distribution of conventional books to a Limpopo school for the blind.
Such books were meant for use by pupils with low vision, said basic education spokeswoman Hope Mokgatlhe on Wednesday.
“We wish to reiterate that schools for the blind do indeed receive sighted workbooks, as these are used for learners with low vision.”
Siloe School for the Blind, outside Lebowakgomo in Limpopo, recently received conventional books instead of the Braille books which were ordered.
