Pretoria - The DA has taken its Madiba's legacy narrative to another level, this time including the former ANC leader's name in its latest election posters.

DA leader Mmusi Maimane on Monday launched the new DA posters near the Union Buildings in Pretoria, where Mandela was inaugurated as SA's first democratically elected president in 1994.

The DA's latest election stunt is set to rile the ANC, which is opposed to the DA invoking its former leader's name to further its campaign.

The DA has also earned the ire of the Mandela family for using him in their campaigns.

Maimane said the DA was the only party that still represented Madiba's values, and that the ANC and President Jacob Zuma had betrayed his legacy.

The poster reads "Honour Madiba's Dream, Vote DA".
