Bhisho - Eastern Cape premier Phumulo Masualle appointed a co-ordinating forum in the province at a special executive council held in Bhisho on Thursday.
“As the premier, I will chair the premier's co-ordinating forum and the various clusters have been allocated to members to lead,” he said in a statement.
“Deliberations focused the allocation of responsibilities to various members of the executive council to ensure that government through the cluster system works in an efficient, integrated and co-ordinated manner.”
Members of the forum are:
* MEC Fikile Xasa, governance and administration cabinet committee;
* MEC Helen Sauls-August, social transformation cabinet committee;
* MEC Mlibo Qoboshiyane, economic development cabinet committee;
* MEC Sakhumzi Somyo, cabinet budget committee.
