Johannesburg - EFF supporters arrived at the SABC offices in Auckland Park in Johannesburg on Tuesday where they waited for their leader Julius Malema to address them.

Malema was expected to speak to the crowd and then hand over a memorandum to SABC management.

There was a heavy police presence outside the SABC offices and certain sections of the reception area at Radio Park were cordoned off.

An Economic Freedom Fighters truck was parked outside.

The march is in protest against the public broadcaster refusing to air the party's election commercial.

The SABC claims the advert, which includes the slogan “destroy e-tolls physically”, incites violence. The Independent Communications Authority of SA agreed with the SABC in a special hearing.
