Johannesburg - The Economic Freedom Fighters says it will vote for the DA in Gauteng’s metros and Nelson Mandela Bay and the IFP in Kwazulu-Natal but will not enter into any coalition government.

This was announced by the party's leader, Julius Malema, in Alexandra on Wednesday afternoon.

Malema said the party had rejected any positions in the soon-to-be formed municipal councils after coalition talks.

He said they had met the top leadership of the ANC and talks collapsed after they refused to meet its demands.

The party had demanded, among others, the removal of President Jacob Zuma, expropriation of land without compensation and the nationalisation of banks and mines.

In Rustenburg, the party would vote for the Forum for Service Delivery, which consists of former ANC councillors who left the party.
