One thing many people don't realise is the amount of 21st century ANCYL folk in senior Gauteng and national government positions. You only have to look at Mashatile, Gigaba, Mbalula etc. Many private companies such as Accenture, HP etc make millions a year from contracts and projects with these govts and they know that a little bit of lunch, dinner or breakfast can be favourable for business profit margins. So if you butter up the ANCYL you butter up many key people in govt, so how they react to this will be another indicator of how the wind is blowing in the completely legal business-govt relationships.

These kind of party fundraising events are in no way unique to the ANC. Political parties and big business have always been joined at the hip. Its been like that everywhere since the concept of government was born. Where do you people think Cope, DA and NFP get their money from? Julius Malema sells more papers than any other public figure to ever hold any kind of public seat.
