Johannesburg - The ruling ANC could secure 260 seats in Parliament, four fewer than after the last general elections in 2009, the latest SABC predictions indicated on Thursday.
It foresaw the Democratic Alliance would increase its number of seats by 22 to 89.
Julius Malema's militant new party, the Economic Freedom Fighters, would have 21 seats in the National Assembly, according to the SABC's predictions.
The Inkatha Freedom Party and National Freedom Party would have nine and six seats respectively, while the remaining 14 seats would be shared among other smaller parties, the SABC predicted.
South Africans voted in provincial and national elections on Wednesday. Final results were expected at the end of the week.
