Inequality bad for reconciliation: Zuma

Durban - The inequality between black and white households was “bad for reconciliation” President Jacob Zuma said on Sunday. Zuma speaking at the closing ceremony of the African National Congress' centenary celebrations in Durban, said: “The situation that white households have six times the wealth of black house holds should be a thing of the past.”

Zuma, who referred to the 2011 census which revealed that the income of the average white household remained six times higher than that of the average African household, said such a disparity was bad for reconciliation.
