Pretoria – Participants in the National Day of Action march aimed at putting pressure on President Jacob Zuma to resign have started arriving at Church Square in Pretoria.

The small crowd consisting of mainly EFF supporters is signing and dancing at the square. They will later march to the Union Buildings.

The Tshwane metro police has meanwhile confirmed that several roads will be affected by the march, convened by DA, COPE, IFP, EFF, ACDP, APC and UDM.

The marchers are expected to be coming from all provinces using buses, trains and personal vehicles to the Pretoria CBD.

Streets that will be affected are Madiba, Lillian Ngoyi, Sisulu, Du Toit, Nelson Mandela Drive, Edmond, Hamilton and Thabo Sehume.

Madiba, Edmond and Hamilton streets will be closed completely for the buses of the marchers to park.

Metro police officers will be deployed to monitor the march and all affected streets.

Motorists are advised to avoid the affected streets and use alternative routes.
