Johannesburg - Gauteng premier Nomvula Mokonyane has suspended the province's economic development department head, her office said on Thursday.

“(Khulu) Radebe is suspended for non-performance and lack of accountability on some of the key youth development programmes,” her office said in a statement.

Mokonyane said several youth employment projects and entrepreneurship development programmes had collapsed.

She would continue to hold government officials accountable and act decisively against under, or non-performance. - Sapa
