Nearly R8m spent on Lehurutshe roads

Rustenburg - Almost R8 million was spent on constructing roads in the Lehurutshe area, North West, the Ramotshere Moiloa local municipality said on Friday.

A total of R983 281 was dedicated to designing the roads while R7m was paid to the contractors who built them.

The project created 35 jobs. Local government MEC Maneketsi Tlhape officially opened the upgraded roads on Friday.

Her spokeswoman Dineo Lolokwane said: “ (The) department will continue to work with all other municipalities to fast-track service delivery, especially implementation of infrastructure projects.”
