The ANC caucus of the Gauteng provincial legislature congratulated those appointed to new positions on Tuesday.
“The members have affirmed their commitment towards realising the objectives of the legislature and the community of Gauteng,” spokeswoman Gugu Ndima said in a statement.
“We wish them well in their new roles in the legislature and have no doubt that they will hit the ground running.”
Earlier Gauteng provincial legislature speaker Lindiwe Maseko announced the appointment of new executive committee members at a sitting of the legislature.
Uhuru Moiloa was appointed deputy speaker, replacing Stewart Ngwenya, who had resigned. Moiloa was replaced by Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko, former portfolio committee on roads and transport chairwoman. - Sapa
