Pretoria – New Minister of Transport Joe Maswanganyi has assured South Africans that there will be a seamless transition and continuation of services.

Maswanganyi said he had already met senior management from the department to ensure that the transition would not hamper services to the people.

"Later today I will be continuing with my consultations to meet the chairpersons and CEOs of State-owned entities."

"The message we want to send out is that we are ready, willing and able to make a difference in the lives of our people'."

He also noted that the department would remain resolute in its commitment to compel Tasima to comply with the Constitutional Court decision to hand over the running of the eNatis and associated services to the RTMC.

With regards to Moloto Road upgrades and development of rail infrastructure currently in the planning phase, the minister said he was going to ensure he met with all stakeholders to ensure that all were heard.
