Cape Town - President Jacob Zuma's State of the Nation address was positive because he focused on municipalities, National Freedom Party leader Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi said on Tuesday.

“We appreciate that municipalities will be getting assistance from government,” she said after Zuma's speech in Parliament.

The capacity of people in municipalities needed looking at, she said.

“We need competent people... a lot of the people come with no experience.”

KaMagwaza-Msibi said she was happy Zuma spoke about water and sanitation, because this was one of the main reasons for protests.
