Despite a visit from ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema in the run-up to the general elections, the district of Orania voted overwhelmingly for the FFPlus in Wednesday's elections.
In results released at the Independent Electoral Commission centre in Pretoria on Thursday, the FFPlus had a clear lead with 242 votes, out of 279 votes cast.
The ANC managed only three votes in the white Afrikaner enclave in the Northern Cape.
In March, Malema met Orania Movement president Carel Boshoff junior in Orania. After the meeting he hung ANC election posters along the town's main road.
The DA was voted into second place with 26 votes. Cope and the ACDP each received three votes. Two votes were spoilt. - Sapa
