Botshabelo - The African National Congress took its national election campaign to Botshabelo in the Free State on Sunday with ANC deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa conducting street visits.
Ramaphosa left a trail of yellow T-shirts, walking down a street in L-section in Botshabelo, handing out shirts and greeting people.
Earlier, Ramaphosa attend a church service at the Mamohau Catholic Church and was given a chance to address the congregation afterwards.
He reminded the gathering about the ANC's history in the Free State and mentioned recent achievements under premier Ace Magashule.
One of these were the Free State's matric results for 2013. Ramaphosa also urged the congregation to vote in the May 7
elections.
Later after changing into a yellow party T-shirt, Ramaphosa visited Julia Nokufa, 38, at her three-roomed house.
He had a brief word with three young men outside cutting grass, and handed Nokufa a t-shirt.
Afterwards she said she was not sure if she would vote this year.
Further down the street Ramaphosa shared jokes with residents and handed them pamphlets and t-shirts.
At a carwash, he left a group of five young men clad in yellow t-shirts.
Ramaphosa was expected to address a gathering later in a nearby clearing.
At the spot music was coming from an ANC election truck, and its occupants were urging people to come and listen to Ramaphosa.
