The Cape Argus reported on Tuesday that former spin doctor Steven Otter had been fired by Hector Eliott, head of ministry in Transport and Public Works in the Western Cape government.
Eliott has pointed out that Otter was not fired and was in fact transferred to the communications unit in the office of the premier, for a variety of reasons, including crucial mistakes that he (Otter) had made in carrying out his duties.
In his affidavit, Eliott claims that Otter was transferred after a mediation session involving Otter and Transport MEC Robin Carlisle.
