Suspension doesn’t bother me - Malema
ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema says he and his co-accused don’t care about being suspended.
Speaking on Thursday in Bloemfontein, where an ANC national executive committee was due to start on Friday, he said: “We are going to be suspended. We do not care.
“We are not about to be sellouts. We are ready for anything.”
Malema lodged an appeal on Thursday to have his five-year suspension overturned.
It is understood that papers were dropped off at businessman and ANC top gun Cyril Ramaphosa’s office between 4pm and 5pm on Thursday. Ramaphosa is the chairman of the ANC’s disciplinary appeals panel.
The other youth league leaders have also apparently lodged their appeals and had them dropped off at Ramaphosa’s office. The five ANCYL members had 14 days to appeal against their suspensions.
The ANC on Thursday night had yet to confirm having received the appeal.
ANC spokesman Keith Khoza said on Thursday he didn’t know what the youth leader would be handing in, or whether the document contained heads of argument.
Malema has argued that the ANC’s national disciplinary committee had not taken into consideration a league resolution that required the involvement of ANCYL disciplinary structures when the ANC was dealing with serious charges related to its youth wing.
Malema has also argued that the ANC does not have the power to suspend him.
Malema is also expected to argue that the harsh sentences had been the idea of ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe. - The Star
@ John. So you'd rather have a food crisis because you want revenge. Lets face it, the land won't be used for farming because no one is being taught to farm. Instead squatter camps will take over the land that is taken away from the white farmers and then we'll have a food shortage instead and have to import rather than grow locally. You do realize that importing will be a heavy burden on the government, which will result in less money for the poor?. But of course, the farm is owned by whites so of course the best solution is to take it away, even if it means you're cutting your nose off to spite your face, right?.
Of course it doesn't bother him, the running horse should have been reighned in a long time ago, now I'm afraid it's to late! Let this be a very big lesson to the ANC, do not let you children run wild because they will end up wild and uncontrolleble!
I think he still gets his salary.
We are not to be "sellouts", check sowetan about a swaziland house that was never bombed becasue some were impimpis, it further says those who stayed in that house is Zuma & Nyanda. Or the play will be in Newtown theatre soon! ANC ya swabisa sis...

I think SA sucks. Its not a nice country. Its actually not even a country really, just a disparate bunch of races who all hate each other live here,]ll tying to outsmart each other in order to survive. Yrs its really ugly here. Of course there are the cities we try to live in and people that we do like and regions and things that make it seem like a nice place to live but its not. No, its terrible really. We have vicious criminals that will kill you for nothing. We have bergies that eat from our bins every day. We have hugely aggressive people on the roads that drive homicidally. Drugs are rampant in the slums of our cities.Children are not safe at all. People steal your dogs or poison them. The elderly are not respected and are also targets of criminal swine. We have gigantic unemployment. We have hundreds of thousands people sick with HIV. Nobody has money, apart from the rich who don't give it away. Our wildlife resources are attacked and killed for food or horn. Our cities are filled withugly buildings and the suburbs are like armed camps on the fringes of heaving, under-serviced slums passinas towns. SA is really not a very nice place at all. I really do think it sucks. Oh, and we've got the anc.
As was said a few years back Jules is was a very useful idiot, now that there isn't any use him 100% Znxfnculu boy has cut off his head
Malema should lose his job, and all the millions that come with the tenders. Once he has lost everything, he can really claim to represent the poor.
oh yes we tired let this man shut up and disapear pleassssse.
The ANC doesn't have the power to suspend him??
a child will remain a child, this bay must learn that he is not above the organisation...we will see how he is going to get tenders to sponcer him build that manssion...kwakwakwakwa....!!!
If he does not care, why did he appeal then?
On can see Jujuhave no respect for elders. It might be a good idea to let Madiba teach him respect. Respect for others let you earn respect. Madiba was a man of men. Juju can learn from him.

This guy is too Militant and we have seen too many of his type in Africa turn into Despots therefore he can never be a good leader or a politician in the making therefore the voting public has to think before they cast their vote unfortunately it's the illiterate that get his type into Parliament...sad but true.

The current ANC leadership is full of dictatorship. It might not be all of them, but 60% of the are conducting themselves as such. For example the termination of child grants that was set by the Mandela and Mbeki leadership.
Shame Juju wa batho, why are you appealing if you do not care?
@Drummerboy - ditto!

So why is he fighting it if he,s not bothered. Does he think the changed ANCYL constitution will keep him in a job. I would think that to belong tp ANCYL you need to be ANC member.
JUJU show them you are not a coward those old dead woods in parliament should be replaced with young blood some stood there since 1994 and dont bring any change we need economic freedom viva juju viva
Neither do we care fatchops, so why not just crawl into your corner and do what you need to do. Not having to hear your drivel and see your face will be the best 5 years of my life. Now go back to limpopo and fix those roads and all the other tenders you messed up on and got paid handsomely for. Dont forget to take Floyd with you, oh yes you mind as well take your whole executive committee HEHEHEHE
