A house given to politician Helen Suzman as a wedding gift has been placed on the market, according to media reports on Sunday.
The art deco property in Northcliff, Johannesburg, was for sale for around R12 million, the Sunday Times reported.
Suzman's father, Samuel Gavronsky, gave the house to his daughter in 1937.
It was not clear when the Suzman family sold the home.
Current owner Johnny van der Merwe told the weekly newspaper he bought the property 26 years ago, but only later discovered that Suzman had once owned the house.
Suzman died in 2009, aged 91. - Sapa
