Pretoria - The last time guests filed through the Nelson Mandela Amphitheatre at the Union Buildings it was for a sombre occasion after President Nelson Mandela died.
Last December, members of the public filed though the amphitheatre to view Mandela's body as he lay in state for three days.
The amphitheatre was renamed in honour of Mandela in December.
On Saturday morning at least 4 500 guests, including members of parliament and foreign heads of states, will sit here as Jacob Zuma is inaugurated for his second term as president.
Guests have already started arriving for the event that is scheduled to start at 11am.
Twenty-thousand members of the public are expected to watch the festivities on the Union Buildings southern lawns.
So far, guests that have arrived include former police commissioner Bheki Cele, the IEC deputy chairperson Terri Tselane and chief electoral officer Mosotho Moepya and minister in the presidency Collins Chabane. - Pretoria News Weekend
