Tembisa - Thousands of ANCYL supporters were kept entertained by popular local musicians at Makhulong stadium in Tembisa on Saturday.
DJ Blackcoffee, Dr Malinga, Zahara, Uhuru, Solly Mahlangu, Candy, Busiswa, Solly Moholo and Big Nuz kept the crowds on their feet.
The concert kicked off immediately after speakers addressed the supporters, who donned yellow African National Congress T-shirts handed out to them earlier.
Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula, Arts and Culture Minister Paul Mashatile and Public Enterprises Minister Malusi Gigaba were some of the speakers.
More people, young and old, arrived during the concert.
The Economic Freedom Fighters unveiled its election manifesto at nearby Mehlareng stadium.
Earlier, ANC national executive committee member Pule Mabe told the crowd that EFF leader Julius Malema was running a backyard revolution.
Mabe was former ANCYL treasurer who worked with Malema when he was youth league leader.
